Oceans, covering over 70% of Earth's surface, are more than vast expanses of water. They are intricate ecosystems, with vast biodiversity, and lifelines for millions of people. However, the increasing irresponsible actions and its impact, driven significantly by corporate practices, has strained marine health. Through this 1 Day Training, we create awareness on the urgent need and the potential pathways for sustainable corporate practices that prioritize ocean health.

Training Covered

Rational This is an important step to protect the magnificent environmental diversity and pass it on to future generations. In this biodiversity awareness Training, we will provide information about the marine life in the oceans in particular in our Region, and explain the importance of these living creatures, and their roles in nature. Educators and anyone in the role of guiding youths and children will be able to benefit from this Training Learning Objectives Upon successful completion of the Training, participants will:- Develop marine and biodiversity awareness Ability to share this knowledge with their colleagues, peers and students To increase interest in the natural riches of our region Leaving a healthy world to future generations Ensure irresponsible waste disposal and pollutants are prevented Make significant contribution to our region and future generation by taking part in turtle conservation activities, beach cleaning and other activities. Training Module - 1 Day Programme (4 Modules) The Programme will cover the following areas that are essential in understanding the importance of safeguarding our environment and ocean:- Module 1: Marine Conservation Understanding toxic discharges that leads to pollution and disrupts the balance of marine ecosystems Threats from polyester that can harm the ocean Minimise environmental footprints Awareness on responsible waste disposal methods Module 2: Social Implications For Marine Communities Marine pollution and tourism Polluted beaches and dying coral reefs deter tourists Engaging with local stakeholders and investing in community development Everyone’s role in conservation Module 3: Oceans in distress - Challenges Posed By Modern Corporate Practices Marine Pollution – beyond the plastic menace Other forms of pollutants deteriorate marine health Industrial runoff that disrupts marine life and infiltrate food chain (metals, toxins, harmful chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers) Respecting Marine Ecology Module 4: Practical Workshop on Conservation Marine conservation workshop on site Turtle Conservation Workshop and Activities Beach Clean Up Activity Best practices, standardized benchmarks for a unified approach to marine conversation
