MyMAHIR
We build a future-ready, industry-driven workforce for Malaysia
Welcome to MyMAHIR, where we proactively address the challenges of a dynamic global economic landscape driven by AI, digitization, and the green economy. Our mission is to ensure Malaysia's workforce remains relevant and adaptable to the evolving job market.
Our Mission
In the face of a rapidly changing global economy driven by the advancements of new technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), digitalisation, and the green economy, Malaysia must take proactive measures to ensure its workforce stays competitive. The Government, through the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA), is focused on fostering a future-ready talent pipeline – one that is agile, adaptable, and aligned with the evolving demands of industries. We aim to ensure that Malaysia’s workforce remains relevant and equipped with future-ready skills, driving the nation’s progress and resilience in an increasingly competitive world.
Our Current State

According to the Overall AI Readiness & Digital Competitiveness Index report, Malaysia has experienced a decline in its global ranking, from 27th in 2021 to 33rd in 2023. In contrast, neighbouring countries like Singapore have seen improvements, moving from 5th in 2021 to 3rd in 2023, while Indonesia has risen from 53rd to 45th over the same period. This downward trend highlights a critical challenge for Malaysia: the availability of AI and digital skills, which serve as key indicators of the nation’s talent readiness and availability to adapt to the evolving job landscape.
Our Response
To address these challenges, TalentCorp, under the mandate of KESUMA, undertook a comprehensive Impact Study on AI, digitalisation, and the green economy to assess the effects on Malaysia’s workforce. This Impact Study aims to identify the impact of these transformative forces on job creation, vulnerable sectors and affected job fields, and the necessary interventions on skills and competencies to ensure talent remains relevant or transitions to new economic sectors. A key outcome of this initiative is the creation of the MyMAHIR platform, which allows users to identify affected roles, explore opportunities for upskilling and reskilling, and discover potential new career paths.
