
1) Manage drilling machinery and equipment, including rotary tables and horizontal directional drills, to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations while monitoring gauges and adjusting controls to regulate pressure and speed. 2) Confirm and follow pre-determined drill paths with the assistance of locators, communicate drill head locations, and oversee the setup, operation, and exit of drills during horizontal drilling processes. 3) Train drilling crews, introduce safety and operational procedures, oversee their work, and monitor time usage to maintain safety, efficiency, and productivity on-site. 4) Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensure equipment is winterized and maintained, monitor fluid levels, and perform necessary repairs to keep vehicles and equipment in optimal condition. 5) Maintain bore logs, vehicle maintenance reports, and other required documentation, and communicate daily with supervisors to ensure compliance with job specifications, company policies, and safety standards.
1) Plan and develop comprehensive drilling programs for various well types, including ERD, HPHT, offshore, deep-water, and unconventional wells, ensuring safety, efficiency, and alignment with company standards and global practices. 2) Evaluate advanced drilling data, offset well performance, and root causes of operational challenges. Recommend and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and resolve drillability issues. 3) Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and service contractors to determine drilling sites, manage well operations, and improve engineering methods for oil, gas, and water extraction. 4) Track and manage actual versus estimated drilling costs throughout operations, prepare operating cost budgets, and ensure economic feasibility of production processes. 5) Conduct post-well reviews, document lessons learned, and provide training and technical support to junior engineers to foster team development and improve future well planning and operations.
