The primary purpose of this course is to provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the basics of the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) and its essential counterpart – the Aircraft Reliability Program (ARP), with focus on developing initial maintenance and reliability programs and assessing existing programs. Scheduled maintenance task development and the links to key design approval holder processes are defined. The maintenance recommendations by the Type Certificate Holders, OEMs, competent authorities from the State of Design and State of Registration, and operator’s experience (via ARP) are sifted and considered for incorporation through the establishment of the operator’s AMP. Performance standards, in accordance with the industry’s performance standards, are defined and used to measure the effectiveness of the AMP. This training course also addresses the best practice processes for accomplishing the various tasks which together make up the challenging role of delivering a functioning AMP and ARP.
