Coordinates shop floor operations and process control while planning resources to meet production targets. 3. Familiarity with tool and fixture design and computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) technologies. He selects appropriate resources and processes for engineering applications while ensuring proper operation of assembly equipment and machinery. 4. Manages assembly techniques and ensures new aircraft components and parts meet specifications. 5. Ensures that assembly operations meet legislative and airworthiness requirements, as well as the organisation's standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety, health, and quality systems. 6. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement using data analytics, research, and innovation, as well as implementing lean and sustainability practices in assembly. 7. Monitors staff performance and is responsible for providing technical guidance to technicians in order to meet production targets and product quality standards.

Carrying out productivity improvement and cost-cutting initiatives, reviewing assembly equipment, materials, and processes, and leading customer negotiations to reconcile product requirements with assembly parameters and business needs. 5. Evaluates compliance with airworthiness and legislative requirements, and suggests improvements to the organisation's standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as safety, health, and quality systems. 6. Contributes to the development of lean and sustainable practices, as well as conducting research and innovation in specific areas to improve processes continuously. 7. Evaluates staff performance and offers coaching and mentoring to technical personnel.
