
Provide comprehensive optometry services as per SOPs and policies such as examine patients’ eyes to detect signs of ocular diseases and vision abnormalities. To perform optometric diagnostic tests, e.g. OCT, Visual Field, Biometry, Fundus Imaging, Hess chart, etc. To perform pediatric eye examination and assessment. Document history including complaint and relevant symptoms, ocular health, medication usage, medical and family history, current vision aide if applicable, and any other pertinent data. Clearly document diagnosis and treatment plan, including referrals and management in patients’ medical records. Delivery of critical and emergency management according to the hospital’s protocol and policies. Refer patients with the needs to Ocularist and orthoptist for prosthetic eye and vision therapy, respectively. Perform counselling for eye surgeries, such as laser vision correction and cataract, and provide pre- and post-operative care.
Guide patients during eye examinations and provide instructions for diagnostic tests or procedures. Perform basic eye tests, such as vision acuity tests, lensometry, and intraocular pressure measurement, under the optometrist's supervision. Prepare, maintain, and clean ophthalmic equipment used during exams. Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and assist with billing and insurance claims. Educate patients on eyewear care, contact lens usage, and general eye health. Follow healthcare regulations and clinic protocols, including confidentiality and patient data protection policies.
